Trading Hours

We are open Monday to Saturday from 11h30 till late.

Restaurant

Open 11h30 till late.

Kitchen closes at 15h00 and then re-opens at 18h00 for dinner. Last dinner orders taken at 22h00.

Cocktail Lounge

16h00 till late Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

12h00 till late Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

We are open most Public Holidays and closed on Sunday.

Tips are discretionary but a 10% service charge will be added to tables of 8 or more.

Who is JennaVIVA?

Jenna is the name of our founder’s daughter and VIVA is our attitude to life!

What is JennaVIVA's raison d’etre?

Simply, to make the ordinary extraordinary!

What is the food genre?

We take simple ingredients and deliver a deliciously stylish yet rustic outcome. No pretences. We use whatever influences take our fancy: European, Asian, local... Our ingredients are the freshest available and, wherever possible, organic.

And the wine genre?

We like to offer local wines with a 40km radius of Somerset West.

Can we bring our own wine?

You may but we charge corkage of R30 on every 750ml bottle of personal wine brought in. We take time and effort to research, taste, select, buy and store wines for our patrons. But we understand that we may not offer the variety of wine preferred by everyone.

Does the day and dinner menu differ?

Yes. Our dinner menu is not as broad as our daytime menu and strives to be "rustically sophisticated". We also have a separate Sushi menu.

Will you still offer breakfast on request?

We will cater for breakfast functions of 30 people or more. Please contact the restaurant to secure your desired date.

How do you decide on Specials?

#1 is availability of fresh ingredients. Then it’s left to whatever inspires our chef! Our specials change almost daily.

Do you have a kiddies menu?

We do indeed. It’s small but offers just what the kids like.

What is Wine & Dine @ JennaVIVA?

At least once every 2 months we have a wine and meal pairing or foodie theme. We offer a carefully prepared set chef's menu paired with quality estate wines. It is a superb gastronomical experience and great value for money!

Can we celebrate special occasions at JennaVIVA?

That's our specialty! Day or night we'll make your celebration one to remember. For big groups we offer group set menus in different price ranges. Ask to see these menus.

Can we book JennaVIVA just for ourselves?

Sure, but your group must be 50 people or more for the restaurant, 30 people or more for the Cocktail Lounge and 80 people if you wish to have exclusive use of the restaurant and the cocktail lounge.

Is JennaVIVA Eatery & Cocktail Lounge one concept?

Yes – you can eat in the Cocktail Lounge and reserve either or both the Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge for a function.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit cards including Diners and Amex. We do not accept cheque payments. Payments by credit card may be required to be supported by photographic ID.
